Why Legal Descriptions Matter
A legal description uniquely identifies a specific piece of real property. Street addresses are NOT sufficient legal descriptions for deeds, leases, or other real property documents. An invalid or insufficient legal description can void a transaction. Texas uses several methods, often in combination.
