Civil Rights Act of 1866
Prohibits ALL discrimination based on RACE in the sale or rental of property. NO EXEMPTIONS. Confirmed by Supreme Court in Jones v. Alfred H. Mayer Co. (1968). Predates the Fair Housing Act and applies even where the Fair Housing Act exemptions apply.
