Grounds for License Discipline

The Commissioner may deny, suspend, or revoke a license for acts listed in B&P Code §10176 (acts requiring proof of fraud/dishonesty) and §10177 (acts requiring a lesser standard). Common grounds include: misrepresentation, false promises, commingling, secret profit, failure to disclose, dishonest dealing, continued misleading advertising, discrimination, conviction of a crime substantially related to the duties of a licensee, failure to supervise, and acting as a licensee while license is suspended.
