Lead-Based Paint Disclosure

Federal law requires disclosure of known lead-based paint and lead hazards for homes built BEFORE 1978. Requirements: (1) Provide EPA-approved pamphlet. (2) Disclose known lead hazards. (3) Provide any available lead reports. (4) Buyer has 10-day opportunity to inspect for lead (can be waived). Applies to sales AND rentals.
