Why Legal Descriptions Matter
A legal description uniquely identifies a specific piece of real property. Street addresses are NOT sufficient legal descriptions. All deeds, leases, and other real property documents must contain a valid legal description. An incorrect or insufficient legal description can invalidate a document.
